New Android Smartphone to Release in 2011. In 2011, Samsung is about to launch a new member of its Android Smartphone Series. Marketed under the name of Samsung W899, this newest gadget device is planned to be released at mid 2011, with special internet features to improve networking.
Samsung W899 appears in clamshell design with dual Super AMOLED multi-touch screens, each sized 3.3 inch. The first screen is installed on the front cover of the clamshell, while the second screen is installed on the upper part of the inner clam, with number pad on the lower part. This dual screen allows users to choose whether they want to use virtual or physical keyboard. Samsung W899 is also featured with dual connectivity including CDMA/EVDO and GSM/UMTS, Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth, and mobile hotspot. Its operating system is supported by 1 GHz processor, and 512 MB internal memory operating within Android 2.2 OS (Froyo) while also equipped with micro SD card slot. To capture high quality pictures at any moments, this smart phone is also featured with two cameras which consist of one 5 MP Rear Camera and one VGA Front Facing Camera.
Samsung planned to release this gadget first in Chinese market through China Telecom dealers. Although Samsung hasn’t informed its price, many predict that the price ranges from $ 200 to $ 250.
